✅ Security Copilot is being INCLUDED in Microsoft 365 E5
*Every eligible customer tenant will get:
400 Security Compute Units (SCUs) per month for every 1,000 licences
Pro rated for fewer than 1,000 seats
Scaling up to 10,000 SCUs per tenant at no extra cost
This changes the Security Copilot conversation with customers from
❓ “Can we afford to try this?”
to
✅ “How fast can we operationalise this across SOC, identity, data and endpoints?”
A few talking points you can use with customers:
• Built into the tools they already use in Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Intune and Microsoft Purview
• No extra Azure setup and no SCU provisioning overhead
• Tenant level SCU pool each month, designed to support typical usage scenarios
• All Microsoft 365 E5 customers are eligible, no minimum seat count required
This is a huge step towards ambient, autonomous security where agent based defence becomes part of the default M365 E5 value.
