When & where can you buy it? Available from (March 6th) via the Microsoft Security for SMBs website or through your Partner.
Can you mix licences for Defender solutions? Not directly—mixing Defender for Business (included in Business Premium) with Defender for Endpoint P2 (part of E5 Security) defaults to Defender for Business. To enable Defender for Endpoint P2, all users must be licensed, and you’ll need to contact Microsoft Support for a switch.
What’s the difference between Defender for Business & Defender for Endpoint P2?
MDB covers Windows, MacOS, iOS & Android, with AI-powered threat protection & automated response. MDE P2 adds IoT security, advanced hunting, & 6-month data retention.
